1. Information you provide
We handle account email and authentication information; profile names, biographies and photos; church affiliation; studies and AI prompts; posts, comments, reactions and friendships; uploaded photos, videos and voice messages; private messages; reports; and preferences for languages, devotionals and reminders. Registration may store your confirmation of age eligibility and acceptance of the policy version, without collecting your birth date.
2. Technical information and device storage
Hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, browser/device information, request and security logs. Calls use connection signals and call records such as participants, type, state and timestamps. Push reminders use a device/browser subscription and delivery records. Browser storage and cookies support sessions, local studies, language choice and translations. Clear site storage to remove local copies; this does not delete server records.
3. Why we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide and synchronize supported features, deliver requested studies and narration, maintain community relationships, connect calls, send selected reminders, review reports and appeals, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot. Religious affiliation and personal testimonies can be sensitive; share only what you intend others to see.
4. Profiles, media and church visibility
Community profiles and posts are generally visible to signed-in members under the selected audience. Where available, Only me limits visibility to other members; authorized HSM moderators may still review community content for safety. Church administrators can access membership information needed to manage their church. Account emails and saved Bible studies are not automatically copied into community profiles. Recipients may screenshot, download or reshare content; HSM cannot recall their copies.
5. Private messages and moderator access
Private conversations are restricted through the service to their authorized participants. Messages and attachments are stored to deliver conversation history. Messaging is not end-to-end encrypted. The moderator review interface exposes individually reported messages and their attachments, not a general conversation inbox. Authorized operational access may also be necessary for support, security or legal obligations. Church leadership alone does not grant access to private messages.
6. Calls, voice messages and live broadcasts
HSM does not record audio/video calls. Microphone and camera access requires browser permission; you may decline or end a call. Connection providers process network information to relay calls. Voice messages are recordings intentionally submitted by members and are stored separately from calls. Uploaded videos and enabled live broadcasts may be processed by video providers; broadcasts may have replays where enabled. Obtain consent before recording others.
7. AI, translation and devotional narration
Prompts and relevant conversation context may be sent to AI providers to generate requested answers. Authored interface text may be sent for translation; community posts and private messages are not automatically translated by the site language feature. Devotional text may be sent to narration providers using an authorized ministry voice. Member voice messages are not used by HSM to clone voices. Do not submit passwords, medical records or financial identifiers in AI prompts.
8. Service providers and disclosures
Providers support hosting, account authentication, databases, file storage, video delivery, call connections, AI, voice narration and notifications. Current integrations include Vercel, Supabase, OpenAI, Cloudflare and ElevenLabs where the relevant feature is enabled. They process information needed for those services under their own applicable terms. HSM does not sell personal information. We may disclose information at your direction, for lawful requests, or to address safety and security concerns. Provider processing may occur outside your country.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain information while needed to operate features, maintain accounts, review abuse, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. There is no universal automatic deletion period. Removing a post from the feed does not necessarily immediately erase stored records, media, moderation logs or provider backups. For account or data deletion, email HSM; we verify requests and explain applicable exceptions. HSM cannot delete recipients' independent copies.
10. Your choices and privacy requests
Use available profile/post audience controls, edit your profile, block unwanted contacts, and adjust devotional/reminder preferences. You can revoke notification, microphone and camera permissions in your browser. Email HSM to request access, correction, a copy of your information or deletion, and to appeal a privacy-request decision. Available rights depend on applicable law. We may verify account ownership; never send your password. Requests currently use email rather than a self-service account deletion tool.
11. Children and security
HSM accounts are not available to children under 13 or below the higher minimum age applicable where they live. If you believe an ineligible child has an account or their data was submitted, contact HSM for review and removal where appropriate. We use access controls and security measures, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Report suspected account compromise promptly.
12. Policy updates and contact
Updates will be published with a revised effective date. Significant changes will be highlighted on the policy page and, where practical, through an available communication channel. For privacy questions or requests, contact House of Salvation Ministry using the email below.
